Jakob Franke  > Canal History > Morris Canal scouting trips > Morris Canal in Jersey City (Dec. 2009).
In December 2009 and January 2010 I did some explorations along the route of the Morris Canal in Jersey City and took lots of pictures. A lot of it was based on an unplublished manuscript by Ron Rice and Harry Augenblick. In December of 2011 I went back to the Lock 21E site and did an exploration in the Greenville section of Jersey City, where part of the Morris Canal right-of-way still exists. More about the Morris Canal can be found on the CSNJ website: http://www.canalsocietynj.org/
